Overview

Bringing a rescue dog home is one of the most rewarding things you can do. You are giving a dog a second chance, a safe place, and a new start, and in return you often gain a loyal companion who shows their gratitude in the most heart-warming ways. However, it is completely normal for rescue dogs to arrive with a few extra challenges. They may have had difficult experiences in the past, and this can show up as nervousness, pulling on the lead, barking, guarding toys or food, difficulty settling, toilet accidents, or struggling to be left alone. None of this means they are a bad dog – it simply means they need time, patience, and the right kind of support. With the right training, gentle guidance, and clear boundaries, most rescue dogs learn to relax, trust, and flourish in their new homes. We focus on building confidence, strengthening your bond, and helping you understand your dog’s body language so you both feel calmer and more in control.

Our Rescue Dog Training is tailored to your dog and your household*. Every rescue dog is different and may display different behaviours as they acclimatise, so we work with you to address challenges as they arise
